The WRENCH needs you to . . .EMPTYtheFIll

The countdown begins to the third annual EMPTY THE FILL

It’s party time at the garbage dump!

On Saturday July 5th, a team of community bike shop mechanics will be heading out to the Brady Road Landfill bicycle compound to strip, sort, stack and scrap bikes to fill the racks and shelves of community bike shops in Winnipeg. And we need YOUR HELP! Come see what’s in our waste stream as we turn garbage into the stuff of dreams! Bring friends & family, sign up a team! The more volunteers, the more we can accomplish! No prior mechanical knowledge is necessary.

The WRENCH will be providing bike stands and tools, food, water, and shade for everyone who comes to help out. Be sure to sport sturdy closed toed footwear, a hat, sunscreen, rugged clothing, and a water bottle.

We are also looking for volunteers with vehicles to transport people, parts or bikes.

Please email Robin at for more info and to sign up!

Cycle of Giving 2012 a huge success!

Saturday December 15th & Sunday December 16th, 2012 Winnipeg, Manitoba

Cycle Of Giving is bringing volunteer mechanics together to build over 200 bicycles for Winnipeg children in need. We hope to raise $15,000 to purchase lights and locks for kids and provide free bikes and bike programing across the city. On December 15th – 16th the Atomic Centre @ 167 Logan will be transformed into a magic workshop where salvaged and donated used bicycles are turned into holiday dreams come true!

Cycle of Giving – 24 hours kid bike building marathon

December 17-18 2011

Cycle of Giving PHOTOS here.

An Outstanding Success!

We had over 70 volunteers over 24 hours and we built 229 bikes!!     A HUGE  THANKS to each and every person that made it a fun, exciting, first time event. Cycle of Giving brought volunteer mechanics together for a 24 hour kids bike building marathon.  Our goal was 150 bikes but we built 229! Ten community organizations received the donated bicycles and then distributed them to their clients and community members.
