Donations
Donate through Canada Helps.
The WRENCH deeply appreciates donations of money, bikes, parts and materials! Your donation helps us provide all the programming we do in Winnipeg communities, and we are thankful for everyone who thinks of us when giving. This is a quick guide to how our process works!
Donations of money
The WRENCH accepts donations through Canada Helps. This website will also automatically generate a tax receipt for your donation, making it easy for both us and our donors.
Large gifts
If you have a larger amount, or are giving in memory of someone, please feel free to contact us and we can discuss how to receive your gift and provide recognition!
Bikes, parts and materials:
Bikes
With regards to our limited shop space, we always recommend dropping off bikes at one of the City of Winnipeg ‘s 4R Depots. There are three locations, open most weekdays. Bikes donated at these locations will be set aside, and we come to these depots on a regular basis to pick up bikes. This allows us to utilize our space in an efficient manner, and reduce the amount of hours spent moving, sorting and processing bikes.
Parts
Larger parts (wheels, frames etc.) will be accepted at 4R depots as well. If you have other bike parts to donate, we can accept them at our Logan ave location during regular hours. Please do not leave bikes or bike parts outside of our building if we are closed.
Other materials/items/tools:
If you have any bike related materials, and are unsure if we can accept them, please reach out via email! Photos can help us to determine how we can receive a donation!
Materials we will accept:
- Clean, old cotton t-shirts for rags
Donations we are unable to accept:
- E-bike batteries
- Gasoline-powered bicycles
- Stationary/exercise bikes
- Used helmets
- Used bicycle clothing (jerseys, shorts etc.)
